Over the past year, the Pinewood Springs Fire Protection District has been working with members of the Pinewood Springs Water District, the PSPOA and the Pinewood Springs Road Advisory Board, and Larimer County, as well as local residents on updating our Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP). Work on the plan is nearing completion, but in the meantime, the CWPP Update group has applied for and received a small grant from Larimer County to perform fire mitigation on a Water District property on Navajo Ct. This work will create a location in Pinewood Springs where residents can see what a mitigated property looks like, as well as reducing wildfire risk at this location. You are invited to a short public meeting where any questions you may have about the project can be addressed. The meeting will be held on Thursday, May 18 at 7:00 p.m. at the Pinewood Springs fire station, 61 Kiowa Rd.
