Work, live and play 15 miles from Rocky Mountain National Park in beautiful Pinewood Springs, a small rural mountain community with 302 water taps is seeking a qualified full time distribution system operator, for operation, maintenance, and upgrades of our water distribution system, treated and raw water storage, water treatment facilities, service metering, and auxiliary pumping stations. This full-time, year-round position has an excellent benefits package including health insurance plus dental and vision, paid vacation, sick, holidays and personal days, educational opportunities, and starting salary of $22-$25 per hour or more, DOQ. Participation in on call duties are required and will be shared with another employee. Some after hours work may be necessary. Plumbing, mechanical, electrical and equipment operation skills or knowledge are needed to fulfill this role. Computer skills with Word, Excel, Team Viewer and SCADA or a willingness to learn quickly are a must. Job requirements, HS Diploma or GED, Colorado Operators Certification, regular driver’s license, previous experience working for a utility a plus. Work schedule: 8 to 5 Monday thru Friday. On call on alternate nights and alternate weekends. Candidate should reside in or near Pinewood Springs with a 20-to-30-minute response time preferred. Rentals in Pinewood available.
